Collaborative residency project (DYCP), 2023

A collaborative installation at The Garage project space, Bristol (2023). I invited six other artists to respond to an initial sculptural installation of steel mesh, a 'Boris' bike encrusted with mussels and a suspended shopping trolley with barrier tape found in the Harbour Master's skip, detritus and a painting (oil on canvas, 150x120cm). Each artist spent a day in the space with me producing an intervention. These interventions were cumulative, the overall installation built over 10days. Think a game of ecological consequences!

The project culminated in a public symposium, with guest artist Leah Capaldi leading the discussion.

Through dialogue, exchange, walking, making the project asked how art can draw attention to the precarious dimensions of human/more-than-human encounter and narrate these vulnerabilities as an act of care.
